Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor

Since 1938, Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor has strived to stand out as a beacon of hope in our community, serving individuals and families who are struggling with homelessness, hunger, addiction, and brokenness. We believe that every person matters to God, our mission is to meet both immediate needs and long-term challenges through the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

We understand that homelessness is not just the absence of housing—it is the loss of safety, stability, dignity, and often, hope. That’s why we open our doors every day to provide not only food and shelter but also compassion, encouragement, and practical support that helps people take steps toward a new life.

What We Do

Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor is more than a shelter—our heart is to be a place of refuge, healing, and renewal. Our ministries are designed to meet people where they are and walk alongside them on their journey forward.

We provide:

  • Nutritious Meals & Emergency Shelter – A warm meal and a safe bed for anyone in need.
  • Clothing & Hygiene Care – Essential items that restore dignity and meet daily needs.
  • Case Management & Recovery Support – Guidance, accountability, and Christ-centered programs that help individuals break cycles of addiction, rebuild trust, and work toward stability.

Our Approach

At Union Gospel Mission, it is our goal to make sure every service we provide is offered with love and without judgment. We believe real change happens through relationships—by listening, encouraging, and pointing people to the hope found in Christ. While a hot meal may open the door, our ultimate goal is to help individuals discover their God-given value, find healing for the hurts of the past, and take steps toward a brighter future.

We recognize that the path out of homelessness is not easy. Many who come through our doors carry the weight of trauma, poverty, addiction, or years of struggle. That’s why we focus on creating an environment of safety and grace—where people are not defined by their past but are given an opportunity for a fresh start.

The Heart of Our Mission

At Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor we want people to know that God loves them. The love of God compels us to serve those who are hungry, weary, or hurting. Every meal served, every bed offered, every prayer spoken, and every program led is an expression of the Gospel in action.

Through the support of generous donors, faithful volunteers, and community partners, we are able to continue this vital work. Together, we are changing lives—not only by meeting physical needs but by offering hope for eternity.

Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor is committed to being a place of light and strength for those facing darkness and fear. With God’s help and the support of our community, we will continue to stand as a mission of hope—restoring lives, rebuilding families, and renewing our community one person at a time.
