What Is Friendship House?
Friendship House is a safe, compassionate shelter located at 513 North G Street, Aberdeen, WA, operated by the Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor. Designed especially for single women and mothers with young children (some age restrictions apply to male children), this facility offers a critical haven of support and restoration in our community.
Services & Programs at Friendship House
- Shelter & Housing
- The facility provides up to 38 beds, ensuring women and their children have a secure place to sleep.
- Women and children facing financial crisis, past trauma, or addiction receive more than just temporary refuge—they find a place to heal and rebuild in a family-oriented environment.
- Community Showers & Hygiene Services
- Open weekdays (Monday–Friday) from 10 a.m. to 2:20p.m., available to women and accompanied children.
- Guests have access to essential hygiene items—like toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and deodorant.
- Women & Children Clothing Bank
- Our New Foundation Programprovides the education and spiritual training individuals need to overcome the challenges and addictions that hold them in bondage. Participants build a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ with the goal of eventually returning to their homes, families and communities.
